Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. She was best known as Skyler on AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances are Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a year at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career with Chicago-area theaters for a few years. Then she moved to TV and film. In 1992, Anna landed her first big part as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was also an integral the highlights of her work. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production that was directed by David Schwimmer. in 2022 Gunn played in a 4-part audio-play podcast named "Numbered Days". The drama of Breaking Bad is dependent on the relationships between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their difficult relationship. The decline of their relationship is akin to Walter White's final days.
